Our Story

First conceived as Cobb’s Algonquin Hotel and Restaurant, greeting guests arriving by railroad and horse and buggy, it then changed hands several times over 100 years becoming the Ancient Mariner, Bogarts, Marlins, and finally as The Inn on the Blues in 1998.

Through all it’s owners the Inn on the Blues has built a reputation as a lively, friendly place filled with music, friends, and sun. However more recently the spirit has gotten more subdued. Jimmy Asprogiannis is the current owner. A veteran restaurateur, he feels he has returned home to a place that feels like the beaches of Greece where he grew up. He wants to revitalize the spirit of the Inn and return it to the place to be on York Beach.
